Purcell Public Schools is pleased to provide students and the community with a Summer Feeding Program again this year.
This program is open to children ages 18 and under. You do not have to be a Purcell PS student to take advantage of the program. Summer Feeding will begin on Tuesday, May 20, and continue through July 26.
Meals this year must be consumed on-site at Purcell Elementary through July 26.
“We will also provide an option for meal delivery at Southway Mobile Home Park located at 3 Elliot Drive in Purcell each Tuesday, May 21 and 28, June 4,11, 18 and 25 and July 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 10 a.m.-11 a.m.,” Purcell Superintendent Dr. Sheli McAdoo said.
Anyone is welcome to pick up meals. It is not necessary to be a resident of Southway. These meals will be packaged for five days worth of breakfasts and lunches.
No food service will be provided on May 27, July 4 or July 5.
Students who are attending Summer School will be able to eat both breakfast and lunch at the schools and will not be eligible for meal pickup at Southway while Summer School is in session June 3-21.
“I strongly encourage families to take advantage of the Summer Feeding Program. It is great for our students and community as a way to fight childhood hunger,” Dr. McAdoo said. “It also benefits the schools. Please plan to take advantage of this opportunity.”
