Power was out in Purcell from 3:07 a.m. until 6:30 a.m. Wednesday due to a tree limb that fell across two electric lines at Fourth and Pierce.
“That locked the circuit,” Electric Department Superintendent Trey Phillips said. “Crews drove out lines and finally found the issue at 6:15.
Power also blinked enough to shut down computers at 12:33 p.m. Tuesday.
The reason for that outage is unknown.
Purcell received .1” of moisture bringing the total for the year to 26.45”. Oklahoma City has recorded 16.68”. Normal is 24.11”.
