Officers jaw at Lexington scene

Posted

Body-worn cameras caught an altercation between Lexington Police and the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department during an incident around noon January 30 on the north end of Lexington.

What was called in as a standoff quickly became something quite different when Lexington officers arrived to find numerous law enforcement agencies and a large number of units on scene at 528 W. Almond on the west side of the Church of Christ.

Bond agents were attempting to serve a warrant out of Tulsa County on Deangelo Reyes when they reached out to the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department as part of the South Metro SWAT.

The SWAT consists of members of the Norman Police Department, Moore PD, OU PD and the sheriff’s department.

Officers reported they cleared the residence and a new investigation was initiated.

“It is currently an open investigation,” the sheriff’s department reported.
