Jerry Dale Cudd

Jerry Dale Cudd of Lindsay was born on November 9, 1941in Bradley, Oklahoma to J. D. and Frances (Norton) Cudd.  He passed from this life on Monday, May 17, 2021 in Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years.

Jerry lived in Lindsay all of his life.  He married Theda Dover on September 24, 1960 in Gainesville, Texas.  He worked as a lineman supervisor for Rural Electric Cooperative.  Jerry loved his family and the quality time they spent together.  He enjoyed watching the grandchildren play ballgames.  He was known to be a prankster.  Jerry also enjoyed deer camp, collecting old farm equipment, going to auctions, garage sales, and flea markets with his brother, Walter.  He was always a great help when he worked for Garvin County District 1 yard.  He loved his candy bars, ice cream, and Dr. Pepper.  Jerry was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Maysville. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Theda of the home; sons, Roger Cudd and wife, Lori, of Purcell and Bryan Cudd and wife, Dian, of Elgin; brother, Walter Cudd and wife, Judy, of Lindsay; sister, Betty Cudd of Midland, Texas; sister-in-law, Linda Cudd of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Emily, Jeremy, Jill, Jessica, Taylor, Kyle, and Ariel; and great-grandchildren, Jaylon, Amelia, Lillian, Gweneth, Evan, Mel and Kellen.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, J. D. and Frances Cudd; and a brother, Robert Cudd.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Hughes Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Blankenship officiating.  Burial was in the Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of John W.
