McClain County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jessica Zombi, 37 of Irving, Texas, Thursday morning on a felony kidnapping complaint.
According to an arrest warrant issued by Irving police, Zombi kidnapped her seven-year-old son on the morning of May 1.
Zombi is the biological mother of the boy but has no parental rights.
She fled north in her father’s vehicle and ended up at a Goldsby business.
Meanwhile, Irving Police had been working with OnStar to disable the vehicle.
Once the vehicle was disabled they contacted the McClain County Sheriff’s Office to locate the vehicle, according to sheriff public information officer Scott Gibbons.
Two deputies quickly located the vehicle and arrested Zombi without incident.
Her son was located unharmed in the backseat of the vehicle.
The child was cared for by authorities until legal guardians arrived from Texas.
Zombi was booked into the McClain County Jail and booked on a kidnapping charge out of Dallas County, Texas.
