Purcell Cross Country Coach Jacob Deviney reports the Dragons were led by Erick Suarez’s seventh place finish in the Arbuckle Conference meet.
Carlos Pacheco finished 15th. As a team the Dragons earned six medals.
Deviney reported Alyssa MacArthur won a 22nd place medal running a personal best time.
The coach said Constance Uhl’s 26th place finish led the junior high. Valeria Marquez finished 27th. Overall, the girls won three medals.
Jayden Polk won the junior high boys division. In addition to his conference championship Cesar Suarez finished sixth. As a team, Purcell was second overall winning eight medals.
Deviney’s youth running club for grades 2-6 competed at Middleberg last week.
His boys won the meet led by Cru Venegas’ third place finish. Chance Midkiff was sixth and Hayes Anderson finished 12th.
The girls youth team finished second, led by Ali Brady’s second place finish. Ava Midkiff was sixth.
