The City of Purcell Parks & Recreation Department and the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board will be hosting a workday for the softball field at Purcell Lake on Saturday, March 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Volunteers are welcome to come out and help with field maintenance and discuss future plans for the field. Some landscaping work will be performed on the field, along with some new bases.
The Parks & Recreation Department and Parks Advisory Board is looking to upgrade the fencing and to install lighting in the future.
The field will be a spot for the community to use for practice and just having fun for softball, kickball, and other field sports. Anyone can use the field, and team practices can be scheduled with the Parks & Recreation Department.
Users of the field are reminded not to park on the grass around the field so that they do not block play of the Dragon Disc Golf Course.
