The annual Chamber of Commerce awards banquet will be here before you know it.
So now is the time for citizens to put on their thinking caps and come up with nominees for the annual Purcell Register Citizen of the Year.
That’s the time of the year when citizens are recognized for the outstanding contributions to the town or the surrounding area.
Nominations may be emailed to purcellregister@gmail.com, mailed to P.O. Box 191, Purcell, OK 73080 or brought into the newspaper office in person.
Here is a list of the winners over the years.
Don Sherman, Betty Sue Allen, Charlie Sherman, Jayne N. Montgomery, Larry Martin, Ron Fishburn, Elaine Butler, Bob Tupper, Pat Mayes, Trish Weedn and Darrell Ford.
Also, Carroll Milner, Perry Nemecek, Peggy Christian, Charlotte Rentfro, Rick Schmidt, Joe Ellis, Victor Lohn, Bill McElderry, Susan Tarp, Gene and Peggy Howard, Bill Williams and Matt Howsley.
