Purcell’s City Council is getting appraisal information about the old PMH site and made several appointments to local board at its regular monthly meeting Monday at the Community Room of the Purcell Police Service Building.
The board is taking a look at which would be more favorable to either sell the entire PMH acreage or break it up into separate parcels.
At the meeting Monday night the council appointed Lisa Ballard to replace Natalie Shaw on the Purcell Senior Citizens Board.
They also approved the appointments of Jason Midkiff and Justin Blankenship as Advisory Board Members for the Pioneer Library System.
They also voted to reallocate $35,000 of the$40,000 TSET incentive grant funds from volleyball courts to improvements on the tennis courts.
They effectively tabled to approve the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board By-Laws. The by-laws will be reworded and looked at later in the year.
In the Purcell Public Works portion of the meeting the board voted to purchase a new truck that will be driven by Assistant Public Works Director Trey Phillips. Phillips’ current work truck will be given to Electric Supervisor Dillon Gardner, who has been using his personal truck for work.
Board members are currently trying to decide what water well package they want to put out for bids. Two of the city’s wells are currently not working.
Option one is for a bid for one new water well with the second option a bid for two water wells.
It’s the same formula for collector lines.

City officials said it depends on funding.
After a two-hour executive session, the board took no official action back in open session.
