The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a 56-year-old Wayne man was involved in a three vehicle accident on I-40 June 7.
The Patrol said Zu Huang of Wayne was not injured when his 2019 Toyota Highlander was hit.
The Toyota and a 2007 Hyundai Elantra driven by Desiree Zackery, 23, of Shawnee were both west bound on I-40 in the left lane.
A 2018 International Tractor-trailer driven by James Hale, 49, of Oklahoma City was westbound in the right lane.
The Toyota Highlander and 18-wheeler slowed for congested traffic.
The Patrol said the Hyundai failed to slow down and swerved right, striking the Toyota and tractor-trailer.
Investigating OHP Troopers said Huang and Hale were neither injured.
However, Zackery was transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in serious condition with injuries to the head, trunk, arms and legs.
She was pinned in her vehicle and was extricated by the McLoud Fire Deparement.
Troopers said the cause of the accident was unsafe speed.
