Wayne homecoming Friday

Coronation at 6:30 p.m. prior to game with Crooked Oak

Wayne’s homecoming will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday prior to the football contest with Crooked Oak.

Senior queen candidates are Jayden Blackwell, Faith Brazell and Jordynn Debaets. The junior attendant is Morgan Cross while the sophomore attendant is Alyssa Hobson.

Senior king candidates include Ethan Bloodworth, Jesse Hartless, Eli Hobson, Braden McClendon, Casey Kane and Bradey VanSchuyver.

The crown bearer is Major Moreno and the flower girl is Isabel Casteel.

Blackwell is the daughter of Bri and Shad Blackwell. She is in cheer, serves as softball manager, is the STUCO President, voted class favorite, in the book club, National Honor Society and on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll.

Brazell is the daughter of Jennifer Womack and Mark Brazell.

Her activities include softball, basketball, football manager, STUCO, National Honor Society, book club, senior class treasurer and the Superintendent’s Honor Roll.

She was the 2020-21 fast-pitch Offensive Player of the Year, 2022-23 fast-pitch Defensive Player of the Year, named all conference in fast-pitch three times, 2022-23 fast-pitch Gold Glove, 2022-23 slow-pitch All-Conference and 2022-23 Rebounder of the Year.

Debaets is the daughter of Jeremy and Jessica Debaets.

She plays slow-pitch and fast-pitch softball, basketball and is a football manager.

Her honors include the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, Principal’s Honor Roll, Offensive Player of the Year in basketball and the Golden Glove for softball. She was also named All-Conference in slow-pitch.

Cross is the daughter of Shea Cross, Nathan Cross and Jessica Hallock. She is in cheer, yearbook, STUCO, is the class secretary, basketball manager, is in the book club and on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll.

She was honored as the most improved cheer award winner and the annual Bulldog assistant editor award.

Hobson is the daughter of Tricia and Chris Hobson.

She plays slow-pitch and fast-pitch softball, basketball, shows livestock, is in FFA, weight lifting and the book club.

She played in the All-Star game and was the most improved slow-pitch player.

Bloodworth is the son of Brenda Dunn. He plays football and has been on both the Superintendent’s and Principal’s Honor Rolls.

Hartless is the son of Billy Hartless and Melanie Bebout.

He plays football and is in weightlifting.

Hobson is the son of Chris Hobson and Tricia Hobson.

He plays football and is in weightlifting.

McClendon is the son of Kyle McClendon and Crystal Jones.

He plays football and baseball.

Kane is the son of Jason Kane and Jocelin Kane.

He plays baseball, basketball and football.

He is the senior class vice president, has been on the Principal’s and Superintendent’s Honor Roll and was the athlete of the month.

VanSchuyver is the son of Tasha Creswell and Stephen and Trina VanSchuyver.

He is the senior class president and plays football and basketball.

VanSchuyver was named the rebounder of the year, Bulldog pride and the Principal’s Honor Roll.

Moreno is the son of Dustin and Megan Moreno.

He loves to swim and plays baseball and soccer. He likes to dress in his costume and pretend to be Spiderman. He likes to spend time with his family and going fishing.

Casteel is the daughter of Cameron and Presleigh Casteel.

She enjoys going to church, playing T-ball, practicing ballet and tap dancing. She also enjoys playing with her friends at school, playing with her Barbies and running around the house.

When she grows up she wants to the a cheerleader for the Wayne Bulldogs.
