Washington’s No. 1 ranked Warriors open the 2024 district schedule on the road Friday night at Dickson.
The Comets are 1-2 while the Warriors are 3-0 and on a 33 game winning streak.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Washington had a bye week last week and needs to get back into game mode.
Warrior head coach Brad Beller reports the Comets are fast on defense and very multiple.
“They are very well balanced on the defensive side of the ball,” Beller said.
“They can be very multiple in their defensive scheme especially in their front seven.
“After being off a week we need to be solid in our rules, our routes and our reads because they are so multiple,” the coach confirmed.
“On the offensive side they are not so multiple,” Beller reports. “They have three or four formations but run a bunch of different plays with different motions.
“They try to take advantage of you being misaligned or overly aggressive by sneaking a back out of the backfield or a tight end out. We will have to be very disciplined and very physical with our play.”
The main thing, the coach said, is for the Warriors to get back into a rhythm on offense and get back to discipline and being physical on defense.
