RESOLUTION NO. 2026-09

NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING OFFICERS

TOWN of WAYNE, OKLAHOMA

1. BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the Town of Wayne that for the purpose of electing officers of said Town that:

a nonpartisan special meeting/election shall be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 6:00 o’clock pm at the Wayne Multi-Purpose Center located at 107 N. Shannon, Wayne, OK

1. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the officers of said Town to be elected are:

_X_2. Nominated at large and elected at large. (An ordinance authorizing the nomination of officers at large is on file with the County Election Board)

III. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following officer will be elected to fill four-year unexpired tern:

1. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each candidate must be a qualified elector by virtue of being a resident and registered voter within the municipality, or in the ward if an office is from a ward, for at least six (6) months prior to filing an affidavit of candidacy.
