NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING FOR THE

PURPOSE OF FILLING

ALL VACANT OFFICES

TOWN of WAYNE, OKLAHOMA

1. BE IT RESOLVED by request of the remaining members of the governing body of the Town of Wayne that for the purpose of filling all vacant offices of said Town that:

a nonpartisan special meeting/election shall be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 6:00 o’clock pm at the Wayne Multi-Purpose Center located at 107 N. Shannon, Wayne, OK.

1. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the officers of said Town to be elected are:

_X_2. Nominated at large and elected at large. (An ordinance authorizing the nomination of officers at large is on file with the County Election Board)

III. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following officer will be elected to fill two-year unexpired term:

1. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following officer will be elected to fill four-year unexpired term:

1. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each candidate must be a qualified elector by virtue of being a resident and registered voter within the municipality, or in the ward if an office is from a ward, for at least six (6) months prior to filing an affidavit of candidacy.

Notice Publicly posted on this 10th day of September 2026 at Town Hall and the Multipurpose Center in Wayne, Oklahoma.

Submitted for Publication to the Purcell Register for general circulation at least ten (10) days prior to the date of this meeting.
