BUDGET MESSAGE

FY 2026-2027

To: Board of Trustees and Residents of Wayne, Oklahoma

The proposed FY 2026-2027 Annual Budget for the Town of Wayne reflects the Town’s continued commitment to providing quality municipal services in a fiscally responsible manner while addressing increasing operational costs and infrastructure needs.

The proposed budget includes the following highlights:

• Annual compensation increase of 1% for full-time employees.
• Sales tax revenues are projected to decline.
• Increases to water, sewer, and solid waste service rates.
• Purchasing and repair costs are projected to increase at an estimated average construction inflation rate of 7%.
• Insurance costs are anticipated to increase by approximately 26%.

This proposed budget has been prepared in accordance with the Oklahoma Municipal Budget Act, Title 11 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
