Lexington Public Schools is proud to celebrate two outstanding individuals who have made a tremendous impact on students, staff and the entire school community during the 2025–2026 school year.
Tony Bertolozzi has been named the 2025–2026 District Teacher of the Year.
Bertolozzi teaches band, music appreciation, music exploration and humanities. He was selected for this honor by his peers.
Earlier this year, he was recognized as the high school Building Teacher of the Year.
Superintendent Chad Hall presented Bertolozzi with the District Teacher of the Year award, along with a citation from the Oklahoma House of Representatives, courtesy of State Representative Cindy Roe.
“Mr. Bertolozzi is a great example of goal-setting and continuous improvement for his students,” Hall said. “While being compassionate regarding the circumstances or challenges a student may face, he is able to encourage the desire for growth.”
Lexington Public Schools also proudly recognizes Sheree Johnson as the 2025–2026 Support Staff of the Year.
Mrs. Johnson serves as secretary at the high school and is known for her professionalism, organization and positive attitude. From greeting students and assisting parents, to supporting staff and managing the countless responsibilities of the front office, she consistently goes above and beyond to support the school community.
“Sheree is an excellent gatekeeper, many times knowing what needs to happen next before anyone else might,” Hall said. “Seeing her at her station can actually bring a sense of calm when entering the high school.”
Both Bertolozzi and Johnson exemplify the dedication, compassion and commitment that make Lexington Public Schools a special place for students and families.
“Congratulations to both on these well-deserved honors and thank you for the positive difference you make every day,” Hall concluded.
