A Celebration of Life service for Tony Murphy, 61, of Noble was held Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the Noble Assembly of God, 100 E. Post Oak Road, in Noble. Services will be under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
Mr. Murphy passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2026.
Tony Ray Murphy was born on October 13, 1964 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, the sixth of seven children born to William Madison Murphy and Phyllis Wanda (Atchley).
The Murphy family moved around and lived in various towns, but eventually settled down in the Lexington area. This was where Tony was primarily raised and where he attended school, graduating as a proud Lexington Bulldog. After graduating high school, Tony immediately joined the workforce.
He truly was a handyman and a jack-of-all-trades! He was a skilled and crafted woodworker, and a bit later in life he took on the role of becoming an entrepreneur/business owner by operating his own construction company called T&B Construction and Remodel. He worked hard and was passionate about what he did to serve others through this business for nearly the last 25 years.
By chance in 1996, he was introduced to a young woman named, Barbara Ann Ruth, by his sister, Essa. The two quickly fell in love and were married 1997. Tony and Barbara shared countless memories, laughs, and lots of love to last a lifetime.
When he wasn’t working, Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing, RV camping, and taking care of his animals on the farm. He was an outdoorsman in every sense of the word! He was also adventurous and loved riding motorcycles and traveling anywhere and everywhere with Barbara. He loved to try new things and go new places, simply just to say that he did!
Tony was extremely generous, reliable, hardworking and caring in nature. He was also known to be a jokester, and at times could be opinionated, but it was always all in good fun! Tony was a friend to all, and he was always more than willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
More than anything, Tony was a family man. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren immensely and cherished their time together most of all. Tony was a one-of-a-kind man who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him!
He was preceded in death by his father, William Murphy; and sister, Margaret McRorey.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Murphy of the home; son, Jason Decker of San Francisco, Calif.; daughters, Sarah Feuerborn and husband, Heath, of Wanette and,Kimberly Idlett and husband, Justin, of Purcell; his mother Phyllis Conry of Lexington, Okla.; siblings, Roger Murphy, Wanda Mayden, Dorothy Delaney, Essa Smith, Vida Burris-Murphy and Lynette Butcher; seven grandchildren, Tristin, Ryan, Jaiden, Lilea, Ashlynn, Jeren, Kenna, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends.
