The McClain County Sheriff’s office is seeking the public’s help in trying to identify the person or persons involved in recent copper thefts throughout the county.
The thieves are targeting active oil well sites that are typically operating unmanned.
McClain County has over 3,500 active oil well sites spread out over 580 miles.
“We ask if you live or work by one of the sites please be aware of any unusual or suspicious activity and please call us immediately if you see something,” detectives said.
