The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office apprehended 58-year-old Thurman Wesley Condon Jr. on Friday after a 24-hour manhunt.
“Last week, Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) detectives arrested a Cleveland County man charged with five counts of Rape in the First Degree and one count of Lewd Acts with a Child,” stated a release from CCSO Public Information Director Christina DeWalt.
Condon fled after an arrest warrant was issued for him on April 4.
He turned himself in without incident on April 5 and was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center.
His bond is set at $200,000.
Cleveland County Sheriff Chris Amason initially asked for the public’s help in locating Condon last week.
