Three game homestand for Lex

The Lexington Bulldogs have had five games since last Monday and they picked up one win. An 8-4 win over Binger-Oney in the Dibble tournament.

Monday night was a 7-1 loss to Davis.

Lexington’s run was scored by Ezra Faulkenberry.

The Bulldogs did not have a hit in the loss.

Four pitchers saw action on the mound. Drew Dierking went four innings. He allowed three runs on two hits and struck out seven. Corbin Perry, Logan Carroll and Zeke Faulkenberry all had time on the mound in relief.

They dropped a 10-0 loss with Purcell last Tuesday.

Dax Beason and Skylar Rollins had Lexington’s two hits in the loss.

To start the Dibble tournament last week, Lexington fell 6-0 to host Demons. Then, picked up their win and finished the tournament with a 10-0 loss to Cashion.

The Bulldogs had six hits in the their 8-4 win over Binger. Dierking and Beason each had two. Gavrie Williams and Ezra Faulkenberry had one apiece.

Williams also had two RBIs.

Both teams scored a run in the first inning. And, Lexington pulled away with two runs in the second inning.

Williams grounded out to score a run and Dierking singled to score the other run.

Ryan Johnson was on the mound for the win. He went three and a third innings giving up four runs on five hits and striking out one.

Corbin Perry came on in relief for two thirds of an inning. He struck out one and gave up one hit and two walks.

Lexington has a three game homestand on the schedule. They hosted AmPo on Tuesday, OKC Knights on Thursday and Heritage Hall on Monday.
