There’s a lot of good out there

If you’re like me, you hardly want to turn on the morning or evening news.

We are all tired of hearing bad news.

Problem is, good news isn’t deemed news. Only the bad.

Well that doesn’t cut the mustard.

We can’t affect what goes on in Los Angeles, Chicago or New York.

But what we can have an impact on is our little corner of the world.

Think of the schools we have  here in Wayne, Washington, Lexington and Purcell.

Think of the first responders we have in our respective towns.

We wouldn’t trade them for all the tea in China.

We say thank you to our firefighters, EMS, sheriff’s department and city police.

We’re proud to live in the Heart of Oklahoma.

We have each others’ back.

We are the luckiest people in the world, to live in the United States of America and in Central Oklahoma.

When you think about it, some of our biggest problems are who wins or loses a game on the field of athletic competitions.

The students our schools turn out can, and do, go to universities across the country and here in our state. And they excel.

Our technology center is among the finest in Oklahoma.

We have physicians, dentists and a hospital that other communities can only hope for.

Be proud of who we are and what we can do.

I’m tired of hearing all the bad news.

We are one country under God that needs to stand tall and be proud of what we have accomplished and what we will accomplish in the future.

Our country is not in as bad a shape as some may say.

Sure we have problems, but who doesn’t?

We have true patriots that walk among us.

They may not be patriots on the battle field, but they are the business people, the coaches and teachers, the first responders and the medical personnel that offer us a way of life that is beyond compare.

Hold your heads up high, Americans! We deserve it.
