McClain County Sheriff Deputies were called to Goldsby in response to a reported stolen vehicle November 22 around 9 p.m.
According to the sheriff’s department, the suspect, identified as Justin Paul Anderson, fled in the stolen vehicle colliding with another vehicle before driving from the scene.
A short time later, Anderson lost control and crashed the stolen vehicle into a creek before fleeing on foot.
Deputies deployed an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to assist in the search.
The UAV operator quickly located Anderson hiding in heavy brush and guided ground units to his location. Anderson was taken into custody without further incident.
He was transported to and booked into the McClain County Jail awaiting formal charges.
The McClain County Sheriff’s Office received the assistance of the Dibble Police Department, Blanchard Police Department and Cole Fire Department bringing the incident to a safe conclusion.
