Successful Criswell car show

Proceeds donated to family in need

The Criswell family put on the Third Annual Jimmy Criswell Memorial Car Show last Saturday at the Purcell City Lake.

Since losing Jimmy Criswell in 2021, the Criswell family has carried on his legacy by hosting the car show.

“Just as Jimmy would do, the family pays it forward by selecting a local family in need to donate all of the car show proceeds,” the family said.

This year we chose to support Purcell resident Jana Selman and her family,” they continued.

Jana has been through a lot dealing with some medical issues in which she is receiving treatment in Houston, Texas.

She also just recently lost her dad, Bill Bacon. Bill originally started the Criswell Texaco that Jimmy purchased from Bill and turned into the Criswell Service that the community knows today.

“We knew it was only natural to choose Jana and her family as we know this is what Jimmy would have done,” the family said.

This year’s show was a huge success and we want to thank everyone who came out and supported this year’s event.

Mark your calendars for next year’s show!
