It didn’t take Mother Nature long to get into the swing of spring time weather.
The thunderstorm that rumbled through The Heart of Oklahoma about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday dumped 1.3” of rain here.
That brings the total for the year-to-date to 1.72”.
Oklahoma City has recorded 1.13” so far this year with the normal year-to-date total resting at 2.94”.
According to the Oklahoma Mesonet, Washington received .96” while Byars recorded 1.04”.
The storm intensified as it progressed further south and east with a tornado downing power lines and trees in Ada with one home reporting injuries, according to Lighthorse Police.
Some people were without power and Byng Public Schools were closed Tuesday.
