Purcell Superintendent Dr. Sheli McAdoo announced late Wednesday afternoon the district will continue with in-person instruction next week.

McAdoo met with staff after school Wednesday and sent a communication to teachers around 4 p.m. informing of the district’s plan for next week.

The district has had a few cases of COVID-19 in the past couple of weeks, though occurred at school.

The City of Purcell, as of Wednesday, has 28 cases of COVID-19, which is down two from the previous day.

McAdoo believes school protocols are working as they should.

School officials will continue to make decisions on a week by week basis as they determine learning options for the district.
