Steven Don Albright, 56, of Maysville, Oklahoma, left us peacefully on January 16, 2025 at home, with his wife and son holding his hands. A beloved husband, father, brother, and son, Steve will always be remembered for his kind, and joking manner, with a willingness to help anyone in need.
Born on July 22, 1968, in Pauls Valley, Steve grew up one of three sons to Robert and Betty (Willingham) Albright. He went to school and graduated from Maysville High School, then went on to become a truck driver.
He met his wife, Mary D’Lana (Lawson) Albright, in 1996, and they married in Kenai, Alaska, in 2000. Together, they raised their family in Purcell, Okla.
When not traveling across the country for work, Steve enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching his children in their school and sporting activities as they grew up, finding a good deal at flea markets, talking to strangers (he could make friends everywhere he went) and, of course, drinking a nice, cold beer.
Steve leaves behind his wife, D’Lana Albright; children, Kaitlyn Young and her son, Jackson Young, Austin Albright, McKinnley Albright and Nicholas Albright; his father, Robert (Loaney) Albright; brothers, Richy (Kathleen) Albright and Danny (Kim) Albright, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean (Willingham) Albright.
Steve’s wish for after his passing was for his friends and family to get together for a celebration of his life. This will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025 in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
