A Celebration of the life of Shawn Deon Richardson, 48, of Norman will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
Ms. Richardson passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 10, 2022.
Shawn was born July 5, 1974 in Norman to Randy Eugene Richardson and Janet Carol (Yeary) Dodd. She was raised in Noble and attended school there.
She dreamed to one day be a Game Warden, and moved to Indiana to attend school at Vincennes University where she studied Wildlife Management. While in Indiana, she worked for Toyota for a few years, before moving back home to Oklahoma and settling in Norman where she worked in housekeeping and maintenance ready for area apartments.
Shawn was the proud mother of son Ayden. She enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. She liked to go fishing, although she wouldn’t bait her own reel, or remove the prized catch. More recently, she began dabbling in woodworking.
Shawn cherished Ayden, her family and friends, and looked forward to family get-togethers. She loved cooking out, and her favorite meal was the all-American hot dog. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, and she will be deeply missed!
She was preceded in death by her father, Randy Richardson; sister, Debra Slater and ½ sister, Kerrie Richardson.
Shawn is survived by her son, Ayden Davis of Noble; her mother, Janet Dodd of Noble; brother, Douglas Clagg and wife, Salina, of Chandler, Okla.; ½ sister, Rhonda Smart of Edmond, Okla.; numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
