Filing for Seat No. 2, currently held by Nicolle Carr, will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. December 7 through December 9 at the McClain County Election Board office in the county courthouse.
Board members approved a project to repair the parking lot at the high school for $25,125 with Rolin Seal and Stripe. It will be to repair cracks in the parking lot.
During the meeting the board approved:
• out-of-town travel for the PHS Key Club April 8-11 to Wichita Falls, Tex.

The school district voted to enter into an agreement with South Central Medical Resource Center to provide services to students.
The TSET office space in the east side of the Human Resource Building has been vacated so the resource center will move in there to start with. When the McClain County Health Department moves they will utilize all of those spaces.
The non-profit already has a clinic in the Lindsay Public School District.
Superintendent Dr. Sheli McAdoo reports they will have a nurse practitioner and can test for flu, provide immunizations, provide emergency medical care and they have a behavioral health counseling department, among other things.
The district received a Rural Health grant that will cover 90 percent of the cost of the school nurse salary and 100 percent of the supply start-up cost.
“We write these grants to care for the basic needs of our students. If their basic needs are met, they are better prepared to learn,” Dr. McAdoo told the board.
Discussion was held about the old junior high school building. The board voted to have an appraisal done for the structure, which hasn’t been appraised since January of 2020.
In her report, Dr. McAdoo said the Purcell band finished fourth at the State competition, a vast improvement from their 17th place finish a year ago.
She told the board Red Ribbon Week/Fentanyl Poisoning Awareness will be October 23-31.
Dr. McAdoo told the board Fall Break will be October 15-19.
