Roberta Ann Oliver, 77, of Wayne was born on May 26, 1944 in Maysville, Oklahoma, to Robert and June Willene (Powell) Moore. She passed from this life on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, at the age of 77 years.
Roberta grew up in McClain County and married Curtis Oliver on June 10, 1963 in Wayne. They lived in the Wayne/Purcell area until they moved to Chickasha a year ago.
Traveling, camping, fishing, sight-seeing, and anything outdoors brought her great joy. Roberta enjoyed gardening, flowers, and shopping at Walmart, Sam’s and Atwoods. She loved spoiling their dachshund, Bandit. She volunteered at the Wayne Head Start. She was a member of the Byars Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband of 58 years, Curtis of the home; brother, Larry Wayne Moore and wife, Jaquita, of Washington; and sister, Carolyn Ruth and husband, Richard, of Durango, Colorado.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Moore; and sisters, Mary Sue Penner, Annette Joy McDowell, Loverta Moore and Margie Findley.
Graveside services were held Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Byars Cemetery with Pastor Eutimio Dela Cruz officiating. Burial was under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Okla.Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com.
