Regina Clark cases closed

The former co-owner of Sooner RV charged with 18 felonies in a case that began in December 2014 was sentenced September 1 to 133 years in prison.

But then McClain County Special District Judge Leland Shilling suspended the sentence and ordered Regina K. Clark to pay $318.79 per month restitution.

At that rate, it will take nearly 86 years to fully reimburse the 13 victims who lost $328,742.32 to Clark’s embezzlement scam.

Eleven of the embezzlement victims told officials Clark sold their RV’s on consignment, but they never received any money from the sales. Two others paid Clark for extended warranties, but she used their money for other things.

Clark, 53, of Euliss, Texas, will be under Department of Corrections probation supervision for two years.

An additional six victims lost $221,561.63 to Clark, but  weren’t included in charges against her. They won’t receive any reimbursement.

The total Clark embezzled from the defunct dealership’s customers was $550,303.95, according to sentencing documents. All of the thefts occurred between August and December 2014.

In addition to the embezzlement charges, prosecutors charged Clark with four counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of second degree burglary.

On Dec. 17, 2014, Clark chased her then-husband Brett Clark and three employees including her son and daughter-in-law with a stolen .357 revolver, firing several shots at them.

Clark stole the revolver, as well as an AR-15 rifle, from the home of a Sooner RV customer.

She had been served with divorce papers the day before the shooting, according to court documents.

On February 19, she waived her right to trial and pled guilty to all charges.

Sentencing was initially set for April 23 and then re-scheduled for July 28.

Both dates were pushed back due to the pandemic.
