The dynamic electrical storm that blew through just after 7 p.m. Tuesday eventually gave the area a generous drink of water.
Purcell recorded .85” while Washington picked up .64”. Byars really got a soaking at 1.47”.
The moisture brings the total for Purcell for the year-to-date to 4.84”. Oklahoma City has recorded 3.80” this year. The normal for this date is 7.18”.
Additional rainfall was predicted for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with temperatures way below normal.
