Purcell High School’s 2023 Football Homecoming “Once Upon a Friday Night”, will be held at Conger Field Friday at 6:30 p.m.
The homecoming parade will be beside the football field at 1:30 p.m. starting on the corner of Van Buren and Third Street and ending with a pep assembly on Conger Field.
Kick off for the football game with Lexington will be at 7 p.m.
Senior queen candidates are Katy Keith, Avery McWhirter and Gracie Pruitt. The junior attendant is Payton Lawson, the sophomore attendant is Kaylin Vazquez and the freshman attendant is Halle Madden.
Senior king candidates are Derek Cravens, Ryker Fink, Carter Goldston, Brody Holder, Noah Mason and Jett Tyler.
The flower girl is Laiklynn Harper and the crown bearer is Olin Sweeney.
Keith is the daughter of Krysta Matthews and the late Kody Keith. She has a sister Kora. Katy is the senior class president, a NHS officer, football manager and a four-year member of the PHS tennis team.
She is a graduate of the Youth Leadership of Oklahoma program and a 2023 State Qualifier in one doubles tennis.
After graduation, she plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and become an elementary teacher.
McWhirter is the daughter of Charla Cheatwood and Michael McWhirter.
She is a four-year member of the PHS cheer and track teams.
Avery was named the 2022 PHS girls’ top runner of the year.
After graduation, she plans to attend OU and obtain a bachelor’s degree in biology.
Pruitt is the daughter of Jason and Melissa Pruitt.
She has a brother Titus.
Gracie is the senior class vice president. She is a PHS cheer captain, a four-year member of the PHS track team and a member of NHS.
She is a State Qualifier in cheer and track.
After graduation, she plans to attend college and pursue a sports medicine degree.
Lawson is the daughter of Kylie Lawson and Vanessa Lawson and stepdaughter of Melissa Feroli.
Her siblings are Kenzie, Ellie, Kate, Drew and Regan.
She is a student council officer, a member of the Spanish Club, FCCLA and NHS.
Payton attends Mid-America Technology Center for cosmetology.
After high school, she plans to attend college and get a degree in nursing and become a cosmetic nurse.
Vazquez is the daughter of Jolene Vazquez and Carlos Vazquez.
She has a brother Toby and a sister Cora.
KK is involved in fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball, basketball and track.
After high school, she plans to get a softball scholarship and go into the medical field.
Madden is the daughter of Melissa Madden.
She has a sister Emily.
Halle is a student council class officer and a member of the PHS basketball team.
After high school, she plans to attend college and major in early childhood education.
Cravens is the son of Jayme Jimboy and Steven Cravens and the stepson of Mark Jimboy.
His siblings are Lauren, Elijah, Kaleb, Dylan, Stephanie, Madison, Kendra, Demist and Kyler.
He is a four-year member of the PHS football and powerlifting teams and enjoys golf.
After graduation, Derek plans to attend trade school and become an HVAC technician.
Fink is the son of Dede and Tim Roberts and Jeff and Allison Fink.
His siblings are Gunner, Bostin, Logan, Andy and Brody.
Fink is a four-year member of the PHS football and powerlifting teams.
He enjoys working out in his free time. He was a 2022 Player of the week for football.
After graduation, he plans to work as a lineman.
Goldston is the son of Joe and Christie Goldston.
He has a brother Parker.
Goldston is a four-year member of the PHS football and baseball teams and a four year student council officer.
Carter was named the first ever lifter of the week, golden glove in baseball and twice named a 2022 football player of the week.
After graduation, he plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma to major in kinesiology and become a physical therapist.
Holder is the son of Kathy Holder and Shannon Holder. He has a brother Dalton.
He is a four-year member of the PHS football and powerlifting teams and is also a PHS academic team captain.
Brody was named 2022 District Lineman of the Year for football.
After graduation, he plans to attend college and become a football coach.
Mason is the son of BJ and Rashelle Mason. He has a brother Titus.
Noah is a four-year member of the PHS football and basketball teams.
He is a member of the golf team and a Letter P award recipient.
Noah has also served as the Spanish Club president.
After graduation, he plans to attend college to major in physical therapy.
Tyler is the son of Josh and Tara Tyler. He has a sister Khia and a brother Shawk.
He is a four-year member of the PHS football, basketball and baseball teams.
Jett is a member of NHS. After graduation, he plans to attend OU and major in biology, then go to medical school to become an anesthesiologist.
Miss Harper is the daughter of Misty Winters and Matt Harper.
Laiklynn is in Mrs. Bradley’s Kindergarten class.
She plays soccer and T-ball and enjoys building legos.
When she grows up she wants to play the drums in the band and become a teacher, chef, or an artist.
Sweeney is the son of Kyle and Kayla Sweeney. He has a brother, Jett.
Olin is in Mrs. Bradley’s kindergarten class.
He plays soccer and T-ball and enjoys building legos.
When he grows up he wants to be a police officer but if he can’t do that he will, “just live with his mom and dad forever.”
