McClain County Sheriff Deputies were briefly involved in a lengthy vehicle chase Monday afternoon.
The chase began in Garvin County near Erin Springs came through McClain County and ended in Grady County with the suspect shot in the back.
The wounded suspect was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital for treatment.
Authorities said the suspect was driving a stolen vehicle and had a weapon.
Once the pursuit went into Grady County, the McClain County Deputies were called off by Sheriff Landy Offolter.
Offolter said there were about 15 other law enforcement units involved in the pursuit.
