Purcell Public Schools has announced they will offer their Summer Feeding Program again this year.
The feeding will begin Monday, June 2 and continue through July 31.
The program is available to any child between the ages of 0-18 years old.
Children need not be a student at Purcell Schools to utilize the program.
Meals must be consumed on-site at the Purcell Elementary School.
Meals will be served 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for breakfast and 11 a.m. to 12:30 for lunch.
No meals will be served on Friday, July 4.
“I strongly encourage families to take advantage of the Summer Feeding Program,” said Purcell Superintendant Dr. Sheli McAdoo. “It is great for our students and community as a way to fight childhood hunger. It also benefits the schools. Please plan to take advantage of this opportunity!”
There will be an option to have meals delivered at Southway Mobile Home Park, located at 3 Elliott Drive in Purcell, each Wednesday through July 30. Deliveries will begin June 4.
Children do not have to be a resident of Southway Mobile Home Park.
The meals will packaged for five days worth of breakfasts and lunches.
Students attending summer school will be able to eat both breakfast and lunch while at the school, but will not be eligible for meal pick up at Southway Mobile Home Park while summer school is in session, June 2-26.
