Purcell has a new School Resource Officer.

Rodrigo Salgado has served with Purcell Police Department for the last two years and has taken the place of Daniel Fumi.

Salgado was recently assigned to serve as the SRO for Purcell Schools.

“Officer Salgado is focused on the safety and security of students and staff,” said superintendent Dr. Sheli McAdoo.

“He is looking forward to building strong relationships to support a positive learning environment at all sites, Dr. McAdoo said.

Salgado is bilingual, which expands his reach in the community to help students.
