Prison walkaway back in custody

An inmate who walked away from the minimum unit at Lexington Correctional Center last week was apprehended and is now back in state custody.

Matthew Perry was taken into custody around 7 p.m. Friday in Sayre. 

His capture was by agents of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections Office of Inspector General, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Beckham County Sheriff’s Department and Sayre Police Department.

Perry was taken into custody without incident.
