Purcell:
The annual Red-White scrimmage is on tap for Purcell’s Dragons Friday night starting at 7:30 p.m.
Coach Aaron Dillard reports 50 high school gridders are on the current roster.
The Dragons are working hard looking forward to popping some leather.
“The kids are working hard and starting to come together,” Dillard said.
Prior to the Friday night intra-squad scrimmage the Mama Dragons have a bevy of festivities planned from food trucks to silent auctions starting at 6 p.m.
The first actual scrimmage will be August 20 at Conger Field with Dibble.
Washington:
Warriors Head Coach Brad Beller reports his team is working to shore up depth at needed positions.
They will also hold an intra-squad scrimmage Friday night starting at 6 p.m. for the 62 players on the current roster.
“Our returners are looking pretty good,” Beller said.
Their first scrimmage against an opponent will be August 20 at Tuttle where Lincoln Christian will join the Warriors and the Tigers.
Wayne:
Coach Brandon Sharp he has 28 on the current roster. They will travel to Apache for a three-way scrimmage that includes Frederick August 20 starting at 6 p.m.
“A lot of guys are back,” Sharp said. “They have a lot of energy and are ready to get after it. I’m pretty pleased so far.”
Lexington:
New Bulldog skipper Sean Guerra has 25 on the roster who will travel to Lone Grove for a pre-season scrimmage Friday, August 21 starting at 6:30 p.m.
“We’re looking pretty good,” Guerra said. “We’re working hard and trying to get where we need to be. Physically, we’re in great shape, just getting after it.”
