Mrs. Pritchett passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020.

Phyllis Jean Harlan was born July 10, 1928 in Byars, Oklahoma, one of five children born to David and Myrtle Harlan. Phyllis spent her early childhood in Byars.

She later lived in Pauls Valley before settling in Purcell. It was there she met the love of her life, O.J. “Monk” Pritchett. Together they raised two children, daughter, Jeannie and son, Ronnie. She and her husband owned Pritchett Jewelry in downtown Purcell, for many years.

Phyllis’s greatest joy was her family, and she cherished being a wife and mother, and eventually, a grandmother. In her later years, she and Monk enjoyed traveling in their RV, seeing new and exciting places and visiting family and friends. Phyllis was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a good friend. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Myrtle Harlan; her husband, O.J. Pritchett; her son, Ron Pritchett; brother, Bobby Joe Harlan and wife, Jean; sister, Voncile Allen and three brothers-in-law, Babe Cunningham, Vernis “Mickey” Allen and W.T. Merrell.
