PHS homecoming Friday

Coronation at 6 p.m. at The Reimer Center

Purcell High School’s 2023 Basketball Homecoming will be held at The Reimer Center Friday at 6 p.m.

After the coronation, the Dragons will play Davis. The boys game will be played first starting at 6:30 p.m. followed by the girl’s game.

This year’s Queen Candidates are senior basketball players Genesis Canales, KK Eck, Yoselin Estrada and Lauren Holmes

The senior King Candidates are basketball players Lincoln Eubank, Malachi Evans, Brody Galyean, Hayden Ice and Hayden Renfro. 

Genesis Canales is the daughter of Misael and Elizabeth Reyes. She has one sister, Isabella. She loves traveling and hanging out with family and friends. After graduation, she plans to finish cosmetology at the technology center.

KK Eck is the daughter of Jeff and Kelly Eck. She has one brother, Tripp. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Prom Committee, Principal Student Advisory Council, Pep Club and FCA. KK is also on the Lady Dragons Fast-Pitch Softball team. After graduation, she plans to attend OU and become a physician’s assistant.

Yoselin Estrada is the daughter of Carlos and Sofia Estrada. She has two brothers, Anthony and D-Angelo. Yoselin plays basketball and runs track. After graduation she plans to attend Rose State and pursue a career in dental hygiene.

Lauren Holmes is the daughter of Matt and Jennifer Holmes. She has a brother, Mason. Lauren is a member of NHS, Student Council, Spanish Club and the Lady Dragons Fast-Pitch Softball team. After high school she plans to attend Rose State and further her athletic and academic careers.

Lincoln Eubank is the son of Mike and Shelly Eubank. He has a sister, McKenna, and a brother, Keller. Lincoln plays football and basketball. He is also a member of FCA, StuCo and NHS. After graduation he plans to pursue a career in physical therapy. 

Malachi Evans is the son of Brent and Arianne Freeman. He has a brother, Kobe. He plays basketball and is on the honor roll. He is fielding his college offers and is undecided on a college, but wants to pursue his basketball career.

Brody Galyean is the son of Gil and Becky Galyean. He has one brother, Garrett. Brody plays football, basketball and golf. He and his horse are also 2022 AQHYA World Champions. After graduation he wants to be a coach or a horse trainer.

Hayden Ice is the son of Daniel and Krista Ice. He has a sister, Kaitlyn. Hayden plays football, basketball and throws for track. He is a member of NHS and also the National Technical Honor Society. After graduation he plans to attend OU and continue his education in engineering. 

Hayden Renfro is the son of Jeremy and Crystal Renfro. He has a sister, Jacey. He plays basketball and football and is also in NHS and on the honor roll. After graduation he wants to be an OG&E lineman.

Layla Smith is the flower girl. She is the daughter of Trey and Laura Smith. She has a brother, Nick. Layla is in Mrs. Nicklas’ Pre-K class. She loves playing outside and wants to be a doctor when she grows up. 

The crown bearer is first grader Beau Cunnius. He is the son of Kenzie Cunnius and Dillon Cunnius. He has a brother, Westin. Beau likes fishing and playing football and T-ball. He wants to be a professional fisherman and a mechanic when he grows up.
