Funeral services for Patricia Wagner, 85, of Newalla were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Northside Church of God, 222 E. Hayes St., in Norman. Interment followed at the Washington Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
Mrs. Wagner passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
Patricia Eloise Dowdy was born June 5, 1941 in Gary, Indiana, the third of five children born to Leonard Alton Dowdy and Ester Pauline (Waters) Coster.
Patricia was the proud mother of three children, daughter Glovanna and sons, Denny and Curtis. She worked as a fork truck operator for General Motors for several years. Her greatest joy however was being a wife and mother, caring and providing for her family.
Patricia married her best friend and life partner, Dana Wagner. They first made their home in Texas, before settling near Newalla.
Patricia was a gifted artist who enjoyed painting and retouching photos. She loved singing gospel music with a little bit of country sprinkled in, and traveled with her family in her younger years, singing at gospel meetings and area churches. She was a woman of great faith and longtime member of the Northside Church of God in Norman.
She was a wonderful wife and mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Jonathan Smith; her parents, Leonard Dowdy and Pauline Coster and siblings, Reginald Dowdy and Chuck Dowdy.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Dana Wagner of the home; daughter, Glovanna Blackledge and husband, Bob, of Newalla; sons, Denny Fite and wife, Gail, and Curtis Fite of Newalla; sisters, Pauletta Holder and Flo Oswald, both of Newalla; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
