Wayne students pitched in to help the other volunteers of McClain County Operation Christmas at the Multi-Purpose Center.
McClain County Operation Christmas volunteers got a helping hand from the Purcell Fire Department. The firefights unloaded toys at the Purcell Multi-Purpose Center for kids throughout the county.
Friday’s pick up of Operation Christmas presents and food will be different this year.
That’s the word from organizer Peggy Christian.
Christian said those to get Operation Christmas items will be contacted Wednesday or Thursday to be given their pick up time.
Due to COVID-19, there will be no inside shopping at the Multi-Purpose Building.
People can only come to the facility at their prescribed time.
“Do not come to the building until it’s your time,” Christian said. “Only come at the time you are given.”
Only one person from each vehicle may come into the building and show their ID.
After that a basket will be rolled out to their vehicle and the items loaded into the vehicle.
