Runs were scarce for Lexington in the Murray County Bash last weekend.

The Lady Bulldogs were shut out by Dickson 11-0, Tecumseh 12-0 and Davis 4-0.

They did play Cache tough, dropping a close 5-2 decision.

In that game, sophomore Kiley Givens led the club with a pair of hits.

Izzy Pack smacked a double while coach Ryan Perry got hits from Cora Vasquez, Promise Houck and Abby Sample.

Cache drew first blood pushing across a single run in the top of the second and added two more in the top half of the fourth.

Lexington responded with a pair of runs in their half of the fourth before Cache rounded out the scoring with two runs in the fifth.

Lexington out-hit the Cache Lady Bulldogs 6-5.

Monday Chandler paid a call on the Lady Bulldogs and pinned a 6-0 loss on Lexington.

Izzy Pack had the only two hits for the Lady ‘Dawgs in the game.

Up next for the Lady ‘Dawgs was a scheduled trip to Crooked Oak on Tuesday and the Roff Tournament Thursday through Saturday. Lexington is scheduled to travel to Little Axe next Monday and host Meeker next Tuesday.
