District 21 District Attorney’s Public Information Officer Xavier Cullens has reported to The Purcell Register no charges will be filed in the shooting death of a Purcell man.
According to Cullens, John Morris faces no charge after the shooting of his son, Anthony Morris, June 8.
Police report the shooting occurred during a disturbance at the Morris residence.
Cullens said the results of the investigation indicated the shooting was in self defense.
The incident was investigated by not only Purcell Police but also the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
