Ty Thompson

Lexington Public School is pleased to announce that Ty Thompson has been named the district’s new Athletic Director.

Coach Thompson brings a wealth of experience in both education and athletics. He has served as a school building administrator and has three years of experience as an athletic director. During the past year, he has been a valued member of the Lexington family, serving as both a teacher and coach while building strong relationships with our students, staff, and community.

Prior to joining Lexington Public Schools, Thompson served at Salina Public Schools, where he gained experience in educational leadership and athletic program administration.

Coach Thompson’s commitment to student success, strong leadership skills, and passion for athletics make him an excellent choice to lead Lexington’s athletic programs. We are excited about the future of Bulldog athletics under his leadership.

“Coach Thompson brings successful experience to the position. I look forward to supporting his efforts to maximize the potential of our programs, coaching staff and student-athletes,” Supt. Chad Hall said.
