The inclement weather that struck the Heart of Oklahoma that caused hazardous road conditions and jaw dropping low temperatures didn’t impact emergency calls for first responders.
Purcell Fire Chief Greg Cypert reported his department answered seven calls during the snow and ice event.
They answered 10 calls the day before on Monday when there was no weather.
“It really didn’t have any impact on us,” Cypert said.
Wadley’s EMS Vice President and owner Jackie Wadley said Tuesday was, “about normal compared to a normal weekday. We responded to four motor vehicle accidents.”
Temperatures remained bitter cold through Friday night.
