A one-car roll over accident December 26 has claimed the life of a Maysville man.

Ronnie Terry, 65, was pinned in his 2018 Buick Encore for 75 minutes before being extricated by the Wayne Fire Department using the Hurst Tool.

They pronounced Terry deceased at the scene after the 1:58 a.m. accident 500 feet north of 100th Street in Wayne.

A passenger in the vehicle, Clayton Powell, 46, of Sacramento, CA, was treated and released.

Investigating Trooper Torres said the Buick was southbound on SH 74 when it departed the road to the right rolling approximately 3 1/2 times coming to rest on its top.

Assisting Trooper Torres were Lt. Odom of Troop A, the McClain County Sheriff’s Department, Wadley’s EMS and the Wayne Fire Department.
