Maury Mills

Maury Mills was born February 8, 1951 in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Everett and Daisy Mills (Dickinson).

In his early years, Maury was raised on a farm just outside of Wayne, Oklahoma. He attended the Wayne school system and graduated in 1969 and was picked “Most Likely to Succeed” by his classmates.  He went on to graduate from Okmulgee Technology with a degree in drafting.

One of his greatest successes was indeed building his own company from the ground up in 1984, Eagle Valve. After selling his company in 1990, Maury enjoyed a flourishing career building relationships and traveling the world to sell valves.  

Maury was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Daisy Mills and brother, Billy Mills.

Survivors include his daughter, Tamara Alvarado and husband, Nat, of Payne, Okla.; sons, James Mills and wife, Shelly, of Payne, Okla., Jason Mills and wife, Melissa, of Wayne, Okla., and Eric Mills and wife, Jennifer, of Tulsa, Okla.; his sister, Martha Stramp and husband, Ryan, of Anchorage, Alaska; and brother, Terry Mills and wife, Patti, of Lake Oswego, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Upon his wishes, there will be a small private family memorial.
