Mrs. Carr passed away February 19, 2022 in Oklahoma City.

Mary Edna Gage was born in Tribbey, Okla., to Edward Calvin Gage and Ollie Anne Gage (Henry) on December 27, 1934. She was raised in the Wanette area and attended school there, graduating in 1953.

A headful of red hair caught Mary’s attention one day while working. The hair belonged to Charles “Snip” Lindberg Carr, and the two of them fell in love. They soon started a family, heading to California for a time before returning to Midwest City, Okla., in the early 60s where they raised their sons, Tommy, Larry, and Michael.

Mary loved her life as a homemaker caring for her boys and her husband. She spent countless hours in the garden tending to flowers and vegetables. Mary and her family often took in the beauty of God’s creation by fishing, boating, and camping whenever they had the chance. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ollie Gage; her husband, Charles “Snip” Carr; her son, Michael Carr and her siblings Bob Gage, Lila Anderson, Loyd Gage, Floyd Gage and Millie Williams.

She is survived by her brothers, Claude Gage of Midwest City and Walter Gage of Norman; her sons, Tommy Carr and wife, Margaret, of Frankston, Texas, and Larry Carr and wife, Tina, of Crane, Missouri, and by her grandchildren, Michael Carr (Cynthia) of Washington, Amy Robinson (Jeremy) of Choctaw, Chris Carr (Jennifer) of Frankston, Texas, and Cindi Carr (Bree) of Frankston, Texas.
