Purcell Police report one man is facing multiple charges and another is recovering from injuries sustained in an incident on Apache last Saturday night.
Police said King Brown, 27, took a blue Kia Rio belonging to Colin Smith and used the vehicle in an assault on Smith.
In their report, officers said Smith appeared to have lacerations and what appeared to be “road rash” after he attempted to open the driver’s side door.
That’s when Brown attempted to speed off.
Fearing for injury, Smith told investigators he hung on to the hood of the vehicle that he estimated hit speeds of 50 miles per hour while he was hanging on. He was eventually thrown off.
Brown is facing charges of larceny of a vehicle, aggravated assault and intimidation and was taken to the McClain County Jail.
