The official beginning of the Christmas holiday season kicked off here Wednesday night (Thanksgiving Eve) with the annual chamber of commerce ribbon cutting at the Purcell City Lake for Lights from the Heart.
The beautiful displays, erected by the Purcell Electric Department with assistance from various other departments, began coming together several weeks ago and are open nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The Christmas light bonanza last through December 31 and is free to the public. However, donations are accepted.
It’s fun for the whole family to come out, get some free peppermint candy and slowly drive some two miles through a wonderland of colors.
You can even tune your radio to holiday music
